2 Ingredient Fudge
Life is a whirlwind currently! I’ve been slammed with academics, college applications, and social events for the last few weeks and it has been a wild time. However, I did manage to squeeze in time to prepare this 2 Ingredient Fudge!
It’s a perfect recipe for the upcoming holiday season and I have a feeling that everyone will love this simple treat! Watch the video showing you how to prepare this fudge recipe, then scroll to the bottom of this post and print out the recipe so you can make it at home.
Most people would assume that this is a picture of ordinary fudge stored in the back of the freezer until Christmas comes along… This isn’t the case. This fudge is unique because it only contains TWO ingredients: chocolate chips and cream cheese frosting.
How to Make 2- Ingredient Fudge
Before making this recipe, I never would have assumed that chocolate chips and a can of frosting could pair together to make fudge. All you have to do is melt the frosting in the microwave. Then melt the chocolate chips and stir until smooth.
Then you’ll combine the two melted ingredients together.
Stir until smooth! The mixture looked incredible! It reminded me of a cookies and cream themed fudge. After I kept mixing, however, the fudge turned entirely brown.
Tessie! I’m sure that everyone remembers my adorable dog and assistant. She helps me frequently in the kitchen by keeping an eye on what I’m making and taking care of anything that might fall on the floor!
The fudge mixture is scraped into a pan, and then it’s ready to be chilled! It took approximately two minutes to prepare everything up to this point, so I’d say that is a worthy use of time!
So many squares! I am a huge fan of fudge, no matter how complicated it may be. Initially, I thought that this fudge would be somewhat sub-par compared to more complicated fudge recipes, but that was not the case at all. This fudge is so much better than most fudge recipes I’ve tried.
These squares of fudge are absolutely beautiful! I’d highly recommend this simple recipe to everyone preparing for the holiday season. This fudge will definitely become a family favorite for the Lange household!

2- Ingredient Fudge
Ingredients:
- one 16-ounce can cream cheese frosting
- 12-ounces chocolate chips (I like dark chocolate for this recipe)
Directions:
- Line an 8x8-inch pan with foil and spray with nonstick spray.
- Melt the frosting by heating it in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
- Put the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl (or melt them in a saucepan over low heat). Microwave one minute, stir, then microwave in 30-second intervals until the chocolate chips are completely melted and smooth.
- Add the melted frosting to the bowl and stir until completely combined. Scrape the fudge mixture into the prepared pan. Let sit at room temperature until firm, or refrigerate to speed up the process.
- Cut the fudge into pieces. Store in a covered container, and eat within about 3 days. This fudge freezes well too.
Could peanut butter chips or another flavor chip be substituted? Looks good. I will be making a batch as a thank you to hospital staff after my husband’s stem cell transplant.

Looks good I am going to try, I have used a jar of peanut butter and a can of vanilla frosting to make peanut butter fudge. But i don’t want to put you down but I think it would be a good idea to melt icing in a bowl or on stove because it not good to heat the plastic in the microwave.
Hello, I’d like to share my versions.
1. Pillsbury Chocolate Fudge frosting and Hersheys kisses- Microwave frosting, then gradually add kisses, equal amount of kisses to frosting. Stir, stir, stir. Enjoy some warm, then set into pan of choice. Ive never actually used a whole can, I always make little 4 to 6oz paper cups amounts!
2 Pillsbury Chocolate Fudge frosting and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Microwave (3oz on high for 20 seconds) frosting, add in up to 3oz semi-sweet chips, stir, stir, stir. Enjoy from cup, warm, and as it cools.
3. Add mini or regular M&Ms to finished , stirred product, for added decadence. But not a lot! They melt slightly, but not totally.
As I said, these were all for a treat, a reward for a really tough day.

I just learned how to make peanut butter fudge by mixing 16 oz of peanut butter and one can of vanilla frosting. Made pretty much the same way. It was a huge hit!!!

What the difference between cream cheese frosting and regular frosting. Does it make the fudge more creamy.

Do these kinds of fudge made with frosting need to be refrigerated? Or does that just depend on the type of frosting you use?

I have also taken the Andies mint pieces chopped up and do e the same. There might be like a cloudy top after it’s set up…. Just the mint. I leave and it’s gobbled up too.
This is by far the best fudge recipe ever!!! It is so simple and the flavor is fantastic. Big hit with my family. For sure making this fudge every year, or when I have a craving for fudge.
