  • Preheat the oven to 350℉. Line a rimmed baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Combine the wet and dry ingredients until the dry ingredients are just incorporated. Stir in the chocolate chips.
    Optional at this point: cover and refrigerate the dough for a minimum of one hour (for less spreading of the cookie dough while baking).
  • Form GOLF-BALL-SIZED dough portions and place 2-inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 9 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned. Cool on the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
