Okay, my peanut butter loving friends: I definitely have a cake for you today. This is a totally great cake, but I feel like you do need to be a peanut butter lover to fully enjoy it. If you’re more into the peanut butter and chocolate combination, then I’d suggest baking this cake and then putting the chocolate frosting from my Texas Sheet Cake recipe on top. That would be delicious too!

Of course, the best way to break up the peanut butter monotony is to add a big scoop of vanilla ice cream on top when you serve it. Then it will be perfect. Enjoy!

Should the butter be melted or room temp?

For both the cake and the frosting, the butter is cooked in a saucepan... so it will melt :)
