Bacon Wrapped Pickles, also known as Pickle Fries
So it turns out that you can wrap anything with bacon. We’ve made bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers, bacon wrapped crackers and even bacon wrapped meatloaf! And now you can make these bacon wrapped dill pickles! They’re the perfect snack for Game Day, and they’re a delicious appetizer for a party, happy hour or a small gathering of friends too.
I’m gonna set some parameters for these bacon dill pickle fries. You have to be a bacon lover. You must like dill pickles too. And you have to be okay with salty things. It’s a totally delicious appetizer, but it’s quite salty from both the bacon and the pickles. In my world, that’s a good thing!

Only Two Ingredients Needed:
- Pickles: Use your favorite brand of dill pickle spears for this recipe. I lean toward buying a crunchy pickle spear, and I avoid generic brands since those tend to be softer.
- Bacon: Any brand of bacon will work for this recipe, as long as you use thin strips of bacon (not thick). I do prefer to buy center cut bacon as it tends to be more meaty and have less fat.

How to make Bacon Wrapped Dill Pickles:
The complete, printable recipe is at the end of the post. This is just an overview.
- Preheat the oven. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat the pickle spears dry, and wrap them tightly with bacon.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then turn them over to bake a little longer. The goal here is to get the bacon cooked through and nice and crisp.
- Let cool a bit. Take out toothpicks, if you used them. Serve with your desired dressing!

Recipe Tips:
- This happens to be a keto recipe and a low carb recipe too, if that’s important to you.
- Be sure to pat the pickle spears dry before wrapping with the bacon. Wrap tightly with the bacon. And don’t overcrowd the baking sheet.
- Don’t use thick-cut bacon for this recipe. The bacon will be too thick to cook all the way through and get crispy.
- In some versions of this recipe, people add a strip of cream cheese to the pickle before wrapping with bacon. Try it!
- Instead of baking on parchment paper, try baking these bacon wrapped dill pickles on a rack set over a parchment lined baking sheet. This will allow the air to circulate and the bacon to crisp.
- These can be grilled too- just take them off the grill when the bacon is cooked through and crisp!
- Try air frying them instead of baking. Set your air fryer at 350 degrees F., and air fry for 8 to 10 minutes until the bacon is cooked through and crisp.
- Make Ahead Tip: Wrap all of your pickles with bacon and set them on a tray. Wrap the tray with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to bake.

Dipping Sauce Options:
- Try serving with ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing.
- Mix a little cajun seasoning or barbecue seasoning into your ranch dressing.
- Buffalo sauce is another delicious dipper for bacon wrapped dill pickles.
- Instead of a sauce, add it to a Bloody Mary!
